Quickest/Easiest Way to Get to the Destiny Padua Library Catalog

1.    Click right here to go to the Padua Library Destiny Catalog.
2.    Once there, click on the blue hyperlink for Padua Franciscan High School
3.    You are now in the Destiny Catalog

Quickest/Easiest Way to Access the AV Resource List (Or Any Resource List)

1. Once you are in the Destiny Catalog (see above), click on the Resource Lists tab (which is found in the list of tabs to the left of the screen)
2. To access public lists (lists that have been created for you), you must click on Public Lists (the tab in the upper right-hand corner of this screen)
3. Then click on VIEW next to the public list that you wish to view (example:  American Literature Resources)  
4. A list of tagged resources will come up for you (please be aware that there may be multiple pages)
5. You can click on a title to see various pieces of information:  the title's details, the title's call number, whether or not that title is presently available, etc.
6. Take note of the material's call# and I will help you find the resource (or...if it's an ebook, you can just open it or check it out directly).

First, use the general search box provided above.  If you want more options (conduct a more detailed search, reserve a book, logon so you can read an e-book, etc.), then you will need to go the full-featured DESTINY site.  To get to full-featured site for DESTINY (Padua's Library Catalog), follow the directions below.

HOW DO I ACCESS & USE PADUA'S LIBRARY CATALOG (DESTINY) FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT?

Padua's Library Catalog is called Destiny.  You can access the catalog from home or school.  In Destiny, you can search for books (by author, title, subject, type, etc.), access e-books (which you can read online or download to your device), place a hold on an item, etc.  

For this particular project, I suggest you follow these directions for the most effective search results.  (Remember, you can always print out a printer-friendly version of any page using the print key at the top of each page.)

1. Go to Padua's Library Catalog by clicking on the Padua Bruin Bear logo below OR by using the provided link at bottom of this column.
2. Once on the page, click "Padua Franciscan High School" (which is in blue font in the middle of the page above the bear).
3. You can search on your own using the search guide on this screen using keyword, title, subject, or author as well as using the defining tabs provided (see "B" in the diagram to the right).  I suggest that you put in your area of interest and start with a "subject" search first.  If you have no luck with that, then try a "keyword" search.
4. You should not have to login unless you want to reserve books or download e-books to your device.  To do this, click LOGIN in the upper right-hand corner of this page.  Then LOGIN using your NetClassroom username and password (the same one you use to sign on to the Padua computers).  NOTE:  If you signed on correctly, your name will now show in the upper right-hand corner of the catalog search page (see "A" in the diagram to the right).
